The median age in Yuba County has increased from 29.2 to 31.4 between 1990 to 2000. During the same time period, median age in the city of Marysville also increased by 2.2 percent, from 31.7 to 32.4. However, the city of Wheatland has shown a significant decrease in the median age from 33.6 in 1990 to 31.7 in 2000. The decrease is likely due to in-migration of young workers making the commute to the Roseville or Sacramento areas.
